The Zookeepers in the Netherlands are creating an online dating service to connect Dutch and Indonesian orangutans! With a press of a button , the apes can watch how their prospective mate eats, grooms etc. The selection of participants will be based on their interest towards to the program!

Their aim is to creat public awareness of the apes since the oil plantations and logging are a threatning the survival of this species, specially in Indonesia.

‘The orangutan online dating service’ will be launched by end 2007. Good news for orangutans!
